Stagecoach have been teasing people with a new dark blue livery for some time and now a few have been repainted by SC Devon so it does appear to be happening.
One would hope that 19003 is towards the top of the repaint list…
Seen on Brest Road Derriford a couple of days ago.
Never would have been like that 10 years ago under the previous management. The new livery is just as awful as the local, regional, special nonsense.
ReplyDeleteOne newly painted blue Stagecoach decker was broken down next to Pinn Lane in Monkerton on Monday evening lol
ReplyDeleteThe new livery is something of an enigma, only a handful have appeared so far and there are still plenty of new vehicles entering service with Stagecoach in the 2020 livery.
ReplyDeleteI'm not convinced a deep blue is ideal for Devon's unlit country lanes.
Hasn't this happened before? Didn't Stagecoach have a few buses painted a light green a few years ago, shortly before unveiling their present livery? I remember calling them a 'green herring'.
ReplyDeleteLight Green was Cambridge busway and they are still in that scheme.
DeleteAccording to bustimes.org 150 was used in service on 18th Feb! Pretty unusual for a bus involved in an at fault fatality to be reinstated with the same operator. Does anyone know if this was just the ticket machine or if PCB have repaired and reinstated the bus?
ReplyDeleteI can't see 19003 getting a repaint now. Given its age it must be a candidate for withdrawal this year once the new electrics in Barnstaple and Torquay allow mid-life vehicles to be cascaded.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you ever wonder "where does time go" - sister vehicle 19001 was the first ADL Enviro400 for the Stagecoach Group, and is now in the Manchester Museum of Transport collection!
