Industrial Action Continues

First Kernow: INDUSTRIAL ACTION - FRIDAY 9 AUGUST TO MONDAY 12 AUGUST ⚠️

We expect Truro Park & Ride (PR1 / PR1A) to be the only registered bus service operating a full timetable as normal. However, no services are guaranteed. Please check for the latest updates before travel as schedules may change or be canceled last minute.

We plan to deploy any available staff on a modified U1/U1A service between Falmouth and Newquay, focusing on early morning and late services for hospital staff. Again, no services are guaranteed—check for updates before travelling.

🚌 Sunday service will operate on the 24 and 29.
🚫 The Atlantic Coaster will not operate.
⚠️ All other services depend on driver availability, with priority given to the T1/2 service if possible.

**Note:** All services may be subject to change, so always check before travelling.

Services to the Boardmasters Festival will run as planned (operated by a separate partner company of First SW).

  1. Rode on 141 on the 44 today, and it sounded very poorly, especially when climbing up manadon. Surely 141’s days are very nearly over aswell as the other ‘08 E200s.

    2. 100%, they have been absolutely hammered by PCB and have had an impressive service life, especially as they’ve stayed with us since they were brand new.

Such a unique sounding engine, but even the broken screen/stuck on the Bios screen just show their age even more

    3. They’re my childhood buses!

    4. Even on the 20/20A, they can barely run flat out on the A38. Same goes for the 5A up to Staddiscombe hill, the cooling fans are always on.

    5. when new they were put on the 5 and 5a. they have 6 cylinder engines, and they were thrashed from the get go, cos they never had the power of 6 cylinders before, only ever 4 cylinder.
