Stagecoach Scottish Imports

Stagecoach seem to be gaining a few single deckers from Scotland at the moment:

The two Enviro 300s are a new type for Devon. It remains to be seen where they end up in service.

  1. Devon has indeed seen E300s before, however i have not seen one for some time, to see them return to Plymouth is interesting. I believe they were MAN E300s.

  2. Wouldn't it make more sense to partner the E300s with those already in Exeter?

    1. They might be for the 38, its 2x vehicles from Plymouth and the 'shorts' are from Exeter as we have had 2x 59 reg E300's for the X38 before the timetable changes, loading might be too big for an E200 but not enough to require an E400, where they could be better used in Plymouth & we don't have enough E200MMC 11.5's.

  3. They're only similar to the MANs body-wise, mechanically they're very different. I guess it's all part of a move to free up some deckers for the Taunton P&R.

Four of the MANs now seem to be based at Barnstaple.

  4. The MANs were bought for the Exeter Park & Ride and are still regulars on the "Green" route. They also appear on service 4 (Exeter St Dsvids to Cranbrook)

  5. The two that arrived in Plymouth are seatbelted. Plymouth has some more school services in east Cornwall commencing after half term
