It is time for the usual weekly look back on what has been published on the Registered Local Bus Services site over the last week. As always click through for more details including timetables and maps.
It looks like its busy but looks can be deceptive as a lot of these are old ones which are catching up, some from a long time ago!
Stagecoach: A few school timetables change along with a few more registrations catching up on changes over the last 18 months.
St Ives Bus: service suspension
Plymouth Citybus: These look like corrections to recent service amendments
First SW (Buses of Somerset) service reverts back to pre covid registration
Taw & Torridge: minor timetable change – details unknown
Crude: School service new timetable
Dennis Oates: All services cancelled – many of these probably have not run for years!

Looking ahead to service changes announced for this week there are just the three for Travel Cornwall: The 408 though does not have a new timetable on Traveline whilst the 423 look like it changed last week!

What is wrong with the coach companies why do they get rid of the toliet to make way for 2 seats now long distance travel would be awful as there is no toliet
ReplyDeleteBut they have plenty of coaches with toilets for the longer distance work, these will probably be used for more local hires / schools etc so toilets not needed. You dont need to have toilets in every coach
DeleteIt's quite common to downgrade older coaches when they are displaced from front-line work by newer vehicles. If this is to be used for more local runs the toilet isn't needed so it makes sense to take it out and increase the seating capacity.

ReplyDeleteNo Dereck, the additional Tavy started was quietly dropped & some weekends none have operated due to no drivers but this has been kept quiet disgracefully!
ReplyDeleteinteresting what you say about the DE service, as the first adventures by bus website still shows all 3 journeys running, as does traveline, but bustimes doesn't show a timetable at all
ReplyDeleteStagecoach servuce 1 to divert in and out of George Park and Ride from October 24th. Not sure if any more network changes coming?

DeleteIts official in that it has been registered. Not sure if its been publicised yet though. Its difficult to tell on their web site
DeleteAgree Graham, SC website awful & have noticed a great number of cancelled daily services are not listed either - another cover-up.
ReplyDeletePlymouth 2/2A have gone to a reduced timetable from Monday 11th October, every 30 minutes on each route. It appears this is a temporary reduction. Exeter route 57 has also gone to a temporary 30 minute frequency from the same date.
