- Taw & Torridge have two new services starting at the end of May
- Filers Travel also have a new service – this time stating in July.
- Finally Tally Ho amend their 164 from 21st June, presumably incorporating the old 606 service registration which is being cancelled.

Stagecoach Cambridge open topper on service 200 this morning
ReplyDeleteThe Coypool Park and ride? They should try it on the 1 across the moors in nice weather.
DeleteMaybe of intrest but a source in ssw has said there talking of extending some short workings on the 39 up to widecombe
ReplyDeletetaken from the SSW website - in Exeter we’ll be introducing a change to the 39, running an extension to Widecombe in the Moor, hourly, on a Saturday
DeleteIt's possible that Devon County Council may be supporting this as an alternative to the "Haytor Hopper" operated in previous years (but not 2020) by Country Bus.
DeleteThe new 39 timetable is now on the Stagecoach website. It looks like the Widecombe service is a self-contained one-bus shuttle from Bovey numbered 271. There are six return journeys on Saturdays connecting with route 39 journeys at Bovey, these will also operate on Mondays to Fridays during the school Summer holidays. Interestingly it looks like the Summer Sunday double-run to Haldon Forest will not operate this year.
DeleteTo clarify: although the 271 journeys appear to be connections with route 39 journeys at Bovey Tracey, they are in fact operated as through journeys with through fares available. This year ENCTS passes are accepted on the 271. Travel Devon states that the route will only serve Haytor and Widecombe-in-the-Moor this year as this will allow bigger buses to be used.
DeleteOff topic, but spotted CityBus 501 today (22/05/21) in a new livery. Its white and lilac based for Ignite. I took a picture from the car but it did not turn out well, so no evidence I am afraid!
