Intresting the 606 has been cancelled is there any plans to extend there 164 down there or is another operator taking the challis
ReplyDeleteExtending the 164 would make sense. Devon County Council had planned to use funding from the Department for transport and from Great Western Railway's community funding to increase the service on the 164 and co-ordinate it with train departures and arrivals. Extending it over the 606 to provide Salcombe with a co-ordinated rail-link-type service would be a logical extension of this proposal. As with many things bus-wise in Devon though, we shall have to wait and see!
DeleteTally Ho cancelling the 606 is a surprise - I wonder what (if anything) is replacing it?
ReplyDeletethere is a new change registered for the 164 today - so I guess that replaces the 606 in some way
DeleteTally Ho! are indeed extending the Totnes to Kingsbridge service to Salcombe. My dad is a driver at Tally Ho!
