It was way back in January 2016 that Stagecoach first showed off their new Falcon coaches
They certainly had the wow factor!
Although there were many who doubted if the service would survive – its still going strong. However actually running a service like this must be hard work. We can see this now as almost every delay is published on Twitter in order to keep their passengers informed. They do a great job too. Although most of the delays this last few days has been caused by the emergency roadworks on the A38 we do see more and more breakdowns and other technical issues which cannot be surprising as these coaches are now over three years old operating a long route for twenty four hours a day – it must be taking its toll! Still full credit to Stagecoach for sticking with it and making it the success it seems to be.
Social Media
I have decided not to have one big weekly post for these as it takes a while to put together and sometimes important posts end up here too late for the event they are talking about! Instead I will be adding them every so often onto other posts or in their own right if there is something interesting to report.

Will you still be doing the throwback friday photo?
ReplyDeleteThis is very good service and deserves to succeed. Good on Stagecoach for sticking with it. On other side of coin o note pcb on vosa state OCS service cancelled at end of August?
ReplyDeleteLoads of changes from Citybus in September including withdrawal of the OCS service and axing of evening and Saturday services on PR3 returning to same service provided by Target before.
ReplyDeleteIt’s not uncommon for an open top sight seeing your to be cancelled when the summer tourist season comes to an end.
ReplyDeleteTrue but it stares on website runs all year around. I suspect it is not paying its way as very expensive imo
DeleteTrue, but the OCS website specifically says it's a year-round service. Which I did think was brave, can't imagine there'd be many takers when it's lashing it down over winter. I guess they've had second thoughts about that.
