For many years Cornwall was at the end of the list for any new investment by First Group. How things have changed!
The latest new buses are now entering service in the smart green livery including these two smart Enviro 400s caught on camera by Tom Carter:

There are also some E200s in green and a few E400s in blue livery I believe.
Very impressive.
Great to see some admittedly long overdue investment.
ReplyDeleteThey had 30 E400 MMCs just over a year ago
Delete2 blue E400s
ReplyDelete19 green E400s
20 green E200s
Great to see the new vehicles, there are some more Mid life Cascades to Enter Service I believe.
ReplyDeleteThe green livery reminds me of Western Greyhound, good to see Cornwall getting some investment, but I don't get the idea of having several different colours for routes, isn't it just better to keep to one livery, keep the costs down, revenue up and have cheaper tickets?
ReplyDeleteHow does it keep the costs down?
DeleteWhat’s more how does it keep the revenue up?
Whatever one thinks of route branding, I don't see how having one colour would make tickets cheaper. Paint isn't so expensive that it affects the price of bus fares!
DeleteThe idea is to keep them local. How many times have you seen buses turning up and moved a few weeks after. These even have local number plates.
