I have been updating the Plymouth Citybus Fleet List over the last day or two which includes the slow introduction to service of the EcoCity gas buses. The full compliment of Orange Flash 701-705 are now ready. 711/712 are in swoop with a new tag line at the rear of the bus. It seems that 706-710 will now NOT be Purple Flash. 708 at least is now also in full swoop livery.
Thanks to Richard Smith for these shots of 712 and a few Oranges.
I will now be taking my Christmas break with just a few posts over the next week or so, with just the weekly Devon & Cornwall Transit posts planned at the moment. I will be back properly in the New Year.
Just looking ahead though, One thing I will be doing early in 2017 is looking back at the highlights of 2016. So if you want some homework - feel free to send in your highlights for the year - anything transport related is welcome (if they come with pictures even better!) I can then share them over a couple of posts.
I also realise that I never did get round to the predictions for 2016 so I want to put that right this year- What do you expect to see in 2017? Anything across Devon & Cornwall that is transport related. I will then get them out early in 2017!
In the meantime have a great Christmas and Happy New Year to all my readers. Thanks to you all for you support, especially over this last difficult few weeks.
Graham
I'm sure that people would appreciate a fleetlisting for Tamar Coaches
ReplyDeleteFor 2 coaches?
DeleteGraham, thanks for all the hard work you put into Plymothian Transit, Quality and Content is Excellent.Best wishes for 2017.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for Christmas and for 2017 - and many thanks for all the effort you put in to produce the blog. I feel I can trust what I read - and that cannot be said for all sites of this type.
ReplyDeleteTammer coaches are small 2coaches may be a listing off aline coaches .coaches andbuses there got two new buses comeing in new year 05/06 low riders
ReplyDeleteThe trouble with a fleet listing of Aline Coaches is that there fleet constantly changes, and its hard to keep up there current vehicles! They have resonantly acquired a new coach for there Looe school contract to replace UYF463. I don't know the Reg though!
DeleteThere is a Fleet Listing for Aline on Flickr

Same from me Graham, your hard graft makes this an essential site. Hope you find yourself able to have a good Christmas and may 2017 be better for you...
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and all the best for 2017 keep up with the good work.
ReplyDeleteGraham. Many thanks for your continued work in bringing the public transport news from Plymouth and its environs to so many. I find the reports and commentary both incisive and independent. It can't be easy putting this together day after day but it keeps all of us who are no longer on the ground in Plymouth informed and abreast of events. Best wishes for 2017, you and the blog are a credit to the city.
ReplyDeleteAny predictions for 2017 ??? Maybe not as exciting without First I guess ?
ReplyDeleteWell First weren't there in 2016 at all. They sold to Stagecoach in September 2015.
DeleteYes anon 8/1/17 21:12. I am well aware of that but did not really expect Stagecoach to do much in 2016..now after 18 months I would hope to see some changes from them in 2017.
