Thanks to Richard Smith I have been able to make a few updates to the Plymouth Citybus FleetList
Dennis Darts T136EFJ T137EFJ T138EFJ have now all left Milehouse. Its believed they have all gone to Berrys Coaches Taunton joining their other ex Plymouth buses.
Buses still at Milehouse but being scrapped for spare parts
205 WA03BJF
Optare Solo 208 is now back in service having been in reserve. One of these Solos has been on loan to Jacketts Coaches and has been noted on their 13 service.
Finally for now, a quick update on the MAN EcoCitys: 701 AU62DWC and 704 AU62DWN are now both in plain orange livery ready for full Orange Flash lettering. One more orange bus is in the paint shop.
i would of thought dart 48 would of been withdrawn not sold as i feel that something under the bus is broken as the floor is got worse at the back,
ReplyDeleteDart 48 not sold or withdrawn! So which bus are you talking about?
DeleteI can't find any new/amended/cancelled registrations on the new site - let us know if you can suss it out please Graham!
ReplyDeletestill trying to find them myself! It does state that the service is still in beta !
Delete201 was out on the 25 tonight, haven't seen it in ages - thought it was gone?
ReplyDelete201,202,203,204 original mini darts are still in service. Only one has gone is 205. Dart 27 is also in Milehouse being stripped for spares
DeleteMarcus Woodgaté dennis dart 27 is preserved...
DeleteMarcus 20 March 2017...your report is incorrect, 201,202, 203, 204 AND 205 are still owned by Citybus.
Delete205 is withdrawn and is being used for spares.
27 is not being stripped for spares, it has been sold to a preservationist.
201 203 60 61 now out of the fleet parked down lower yard.
Delete208 in service with Jackett's on Tuesday 15th. Another gas bus in orange - 702 (AU62DWG).
ReplyDeleteSo Berrys now have 12, 13, 14, 34, 36, 37, 38 & 40
ReplyDeletePCTPG have 27 & 42 (and 10?)
D&C police have 32
Target have 441, 443, 444 & some unused mini days (and one other? )
Will the 6 orange gas ones replace 16, 17, 21, 23, 25 & 29?
Will the 6 purple gas ones replace 33, 39, 433, 434, 435 & 436? Or will it be 45, 46, 47, 48 instead of the deckers?
there will only be 5 orange and 5 purple. other 2 swooped. changes to the 43 in january mean only 5 buses will be needed not 6.
ReplyDelete703 (AzU62DWL) was seen today at Milehouse in almost complete Orange Flash livery. Dart 35 had been moved to the stripping area in the Lower Yard next to 31. Dart 17 was parked in the Lower yard next to preserved Volvo 53. Don't know its status.
ReplyDeleteDart 17 in service this morning (22/11/16)
DeleteNew red liveried MMC is seen on a test run!

Before anyone gets too excited, this URL links to an Enviro400MMC of First Kernow so not sure why it's been posted here.
DeleteSolo 206 worked the last 34 of the day from Royal Parade to Derriford and back on Sunday 20th. Saw it on the return leg on Outland Road.
ReplyDeleteCitybus observations 23rd Nov, morning
ReplyDelete206 in the garage today with its rear end open
208 still on load to Jacketts (signs in window to support this) and again operating service 13 today
17 on the 40/41/44 services today
252 has had two new front corners fitted and are freshly red although the rest of the vehicle remains unpainted
508 operating on BlueFlash services today
17 is a bus in regular daily use and will be seen on various routes.
Delete252 is surely not an unpainted bus, I guess you mean it is still in London red.
Double deckers are quite common on Blue Flash due to capacity issues on some journeys.
Gas buses 701, 703 & 705 looked almost ready for service in full Orange Flash livery today at Milehouse.
ReplyDelete16 in service on 16/33 today
ReplyDeleteThanks Anon, yes I did mean 252 was in London livery with two new front corners. As for 17, my observation was in reply to someone else's comment about 17 being parked out the back, both 16 and 17 are still in daily use across the city.
ReplyDeletei noticed the the new gas buses, the new poppy flash route, i thought they would be a brilliant orange not a faded red colour
ReplyDeleteThere are many different shades of every colour including orange. A freshly repainted bus in orange cannot look like faded red. Have you actually seen one, I wonder?
DeleteI have seen the orange flash livery and it is certainly not looking like faded red - but everyone is entitled to their opinion of course.
Anonymous28 November 2016 at 19:27 it was in town the other day i took a photo of it and it does look a bit off to what i thought it would, but the livery itself looks great love it
DeleteStrange these aleged sightings, as none of the newly painted buses have been out of the depot yet! If you are viewing them from Alma Road under the depot lighting they do look redish but in daylight they are definitely orange
DeleteThe buses have been sitting out by the front of Milehouse in full view from the main road at times - they do look good whatever the shade of orange is
DeleteAnon 1st Dec at 07:24....l'm afraid you are wrong, one Orange Flash has been out of the Depot and been seen in the city centre.
DeleteAnonymous1 December 2016 at 07:24 it was on the test run in city center, maybe testing the full route or going int town, like shown like every other flash bus in plymouth did, yellow bus tested in town before start, red/green deckers was also tested in town
Deletethe 5 orange flash buses go out on service 43 this sun 4th dec.
ReplyDelete701-705 are the orange ones. I assume 706-710 are the purple ones and the last two will be swoops.
DeleteMakes sense to enter service on the 4th
I have noticed that all of the 62 DWC (ex 109) DWG(ex108) DWL(ex 107) DWN(ex106) have gone orange but which one makes up the 5 orange ! FBJ, FBK,FBL or one of the HH,GF or HG regs, Do hope we shall have the pleasure of some photos of the eco's in their fresh colours soon
ReplyDeleteI saw one of the gas busses in the week, around Wednesday at Derry's Cross
ReplyDeleteHaving seen the first photos of the eco's in their new orange 'coats',(courtesey of Steves Bus and train page) they look absolutely super!! well done Citybus and the paintshop chaps. I cannot wait to see which of the buses will become the 'Purple People Eaters' and which 2 become the Citybus regular colours. Thank you to who ever is taking the photos - so much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of Graham's really sad loss.
