Service 174 is a revised timetable to take account of the revised running time of interworked service 184. The 184 has been rerouted in the Kingsteignton area via Blindwill Avenue and Ware Cross to cover the unique section of route that was served by withdrawn Country Bus service 79, which finished on 1 October.
ReplyDeleteThe map of the 89 roué is Traveline nonsense - look at the double-run along Courtlands Road where there is nowhere to turn. And buses do not go down Rocky Hill and then the wrong way along the one-way part of West Street. They continue along Courtlands Road, then turn left along Glanville Road, then right to come down into Bedford Square. I think the plan in the DCC timetable booklet has got it right.
ReplyDeleteQuite surprised that First Wessex have continued with the X52 From Exeter to Lyme Regis/ Bridport, after the Summer Dispute when the Service didn't operate for weeks on end just seems an unnecessary Resource it would just take a slight adjustment for Stagecoach to Divert the 9A through Beer (2 Hourly) would make more Sense, I'm also Surprised but pleased the X54 Weymouth to Poole is Continuing again Never operated during the Strike, could have adjusted the 4A to operate every other hour to Sutton Poyntz / Osmington Mills turning to Cover the village of Osmington.
ReplyDeleteThe X52 is First trying to ensure the 9A doesn't get established and start challenging them further afield. They claimed it wasn't viable even in Summer and yet now they rum it in winter. Always seems empty when I see it.
DeleteI've always wondered if there is scope for bringing back a decent express coach service between Exeter and Bournemouth to complement the X51/X53/X54? I would envisage it making extensive use of the A30 and A35, with selected intermediate stops at, say, Exeter Airport, Honiton, Axminster Station, Bridport, Dorchester, Bere Regis and Poole.
ReplyDeleteHad a Trip out yesterday all by Bus From Paignton - Exeter -Lyme Regis-Seaton - Taunton -Chard -Axminster -Exeter -Paignton all by Bus mainly Stagecoach South West plus the 30 Buses or Somerset Between Chard and Axminster, Some Fantastic Countryside particularly on the 20 Seaton to Taunton and 99 Taunton to Chard Routes.
ReplyDeleteI wish Stagecoach would hurry up and launch some new routes.. The Plymouth bus scene has got a bit boring since First went!
ReplyDeleteFalcon has been registered as a bus service on visa from December any idea why this would be or what change this could bring??
