Plymouth Citybus have a new toy for a short while and are likely to use it on the 21 service at least. This Wright Streetdeck SN64CTU has been with Go Ahead South Coast for a while now.

Its a shame that its not got the more funky front end that most Streetdecks now have but its still good to see something a little different out and about. Go Ahead Group seem to like the Streetdecks where they now seem to be the choice of both Brighton and Oxford and Go Northern at least.
Was walking around Central Park yesterday evening, just before 7pm, and saw a First bus go down Outland Road, towards Pennycombquick, couldn't read the plate but from the remains of the UgoBus livery on the side I think it was 48264 (link below). Can anyone shed any light on why this bus was cited in Plymouth

The latest purchase by Jackett's?
DeleteWrong! I think you will find the bus is preserved by Bobby Darch who is featured on the side.
DeleteStreetdeck was working on the 21/21A today (Thursday 7th July). Ex Brighton Dart 53 has been extensively repaneled prior to its repaint.
ReplyDeleteAnother incorrect report, it is ex Brighton Dart 54 (not 53) being repanelled prior to repaint.
DeleteTravelled on the Streetdeck this evening from Plymouth city centre out to Plympton. Impressed by the lack of noise. Not much different to the Red Flash otherwise. The driver wasn't too sure what to make of them.
DeleteRed swooped livery Dart in the paint shop this evening. No numbers or registration plates visible but assume this is ex Brighton 54. Whatever it is it looks very nice!
