Although things are fairly quiet at the moment there have been a few changes to the Citybus fleetlist:
Outgoing
Four of the Volvo B7TL East Lancs fleet have been sold and will leave Milehouse today (22nd June) for pastures new. (No idea as to where just yet though). 410 411 415 and 419 are the buses in question:
The departure of these will almost mark the end of dual door operation only 408 and 409 will remain a bit longer in service
Incoming
A glimpse of the newest aquired but not yet in service and most recently painted Plymouth City Bus Dennis Dart and the only one of the 9 recently aquired former Go Ahead London 05 plates to be painted so far is 253 seen here at Milehouse today (20th June). 250 to 252 are in service those to be 254 to 258 are stored
Thanks to Jason Beverley for the updates and the photos!
Ensign were advertising some of these for sale last week

The london mpds are replacing the x reg mpds as they getting a bit tired now
ReplyDeleteIs this accurate though? Because tired or not, they are working fine by all accounts? Older stock still in full working order ( such as the 1997 darts)
DeleteThey are tired in the sense that they can't get above 5-10 mph up hills, and a couple of them have jerky gearboxes so yes tired.
DeleteAline coaches in torpoint are now useing a low floor miu dart on there bus routes and are lot busy now go back up Antony road
ReplyDelete410, 415 & 419 left the depot today, 23rd June, and not on the 22nd.
ReplyDeleteTo clarify, 410 was still at Milehouse yesterday 25th June.
Delete406, 411, 415 & 419 are the ones that have gone.
Are they keeping the Brighton & Hove darts?
ReplyDeleteive been told by a mate who works in milehouse that 209 is in the paint shop being painted blue for the 34 route? this could be interesting if it happens!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid your mate is wrong, the bus repainted blue is 206 (not 209). It has vinyls for route 34 / 34A Royal William Yard.
Deletethat will be nice to see happen, but it makes sense as the solos are on the 34/34A quite a bit now
DeleteLinks up with the fact that 34a now goes into RWY. Blue seems an odd choice if its close to blue flash but if its ligher like the coaches it won't be confusing.
ReplyDelete4 more East Lancs deckers left Milehouse today and were noted heading eastwards on the A38 near Plympton. 407 and 413 were 2 of them. Ex Brighton Dart 54 is in the body shop prior to repainting. Ex London Mini Dart 253 is almost ready for service in swooped livery. Finally silver liveried Wright Streetdeck demonstrator SN64CTU has arrived at Milehouse presumably for trial.
ReplyDeleteHere is it when on trail in Leeds

206 is in its new Blue and white livery already!
ReplyDelete253 was working on the 25 today (1st July).
