In The News
NEW buses for Torpoint and the Rame Peninsula were launched this morning (Thursday, February 18). This is the final delivery of a ?£5m investment that has seen a total of 31 brand new buses for Plymouth comprising 11 that went into service on September 1, 2015 and another 20 hitting the streets at the start of 2016. The seven new buses, Enviro 400 double deckers are being introduced on Monday, February 22 and will be operating on route 70/71. The buses will be in the new bilingual Go Cornwall Bus livery and will include the same premium features as the current Flash fleet. CORNISH TIMES
Within Cornwall, National Express services operate as Local Bus Services - hence the need for them to be registered. I remember, years back, seeing a fair number of passengers getting on a NE bus in Liskeard - they looked like commuters to Plymouth, but it seemed incongruous that their 'bus' had 'South Shields' on the front.
