The last post illustrated the new concept livery for First Kernow, or BusKernow if the livery is to be adopted. The same event in Cornwall saw another smart Enviro DD, this time Plymouth Citybus 531 in full swoops with Go Cornwall names:
This was just for the event as 531 is now back in Plymouth with standard Citybus logos.
Noticed that 531 has orange numbering insted of white
ReplyDeleteHow come 531 has orange fleet numbers than the white the outers have
ReplyDeletemost have orange numbers now
DeletePlymouth city bus number 90 is out on the streets with blue tape covering up a hole
ReplyDeleteare there truning in to target travel
Looks like they've run out of red tape then!
Deletebus 58 is now back on the roads after the accident, seen on the 9 today.
ReplyDeleteThe branding is so confused - it could easly read: "Cornwall Go Bus" or just "Go Bus"....
ReplyDeleteGood to have 58 back, with a bit of luck it will help take one of the mini optares off a city route, roll on the return of 136 and 65!
ReplyDeleteNow that the 21/A frequency has been increased I'm seeing a lot of buses running in pairs. But just now I saw 4 more on less behind each other, all within 30 seconds of each other going through Plympton. I think combining the 21/A and 26 was a big cock up!
ReplyDeleteOn a seven minute headway at times there will be buses running close to each other, what you conveniently forget is that Saturday saw yet another University open day in Plymouth. The City Centre was gridlocked for most of the morning, Exeter Street, Charles Street, Cobourg Street and Royal Parade were just big car parks. Citybus put a diversion in to avoid Cobourg Street. Add this to the impact of the badly managed temporary traffic lights at Mutley plain it's a wonder any buses ran at all. Every bus operator was badly affected.
DeleteI think they should drop the Cornwall Go Bus and stick with Citybus.
ReplyDelete531 has a differnt swoop to 520. 520s swoop ends lower than 531 and 520s its thicker than 531. i wonder why the change that?

ReplyDeleteI completely agree it seems stupid to have a supposedly "separate" brand when most services are running with Citybus names and older vehicles anyway
4 buses running together tonight too!
