New Timetables Plymouth Citybus 43
This coming weekend sees quite a few timetable changes for both Plymouth Citybus and First. I have covered some of these, but over the next few days I will bring
all details and timetables together with links to my Plymothian Bus Services pages where you can view the recent histories of these routes...
Time and Frequency changes: Service frequency adjusted Monday to Saturday to operate up to every 15 minutes for most of the day, with buses providing through journeys on the Service 50 to Derriford Hospital via Prince Rock and Estover. Through journeys available Sunday to Saturday across the day with through fares available. The change in frequency on the Service 43 provides a frequency of up to every 5/10 minutes Monday to Friday and 7/8 minutes Saturdays along Victoria Road. There would also be 14 buses an hour operating between St Budeaux square and the City Centre Monday to Friday and up to every 5 minutes on Saturdays with Services 5/A and 29/A
This is just the first stage in the eventual joining up of these two routes to form one big route in much the same way as the 21/51 and the 26
were joined to form the Red Flash route. It is a strong favourite to become the next "Flash". The combined 43 and 50 will continue with a mixture of Mercedes Citaros and Volvo B7RLEs although I am sure (and hope) that we still get the odd double decker from time to time on this busy route.
