Winter timetable but may also help fill in gaps left by the other planned changes in Plymstock?

I notice that the message on their web site now reads

We are currently compiling information on these changes and it will be published on our website, Facebook and Twitter pages very shortly

There are more notices on VOSA for Plymouth Citybus and Western Greyhound which will be given in the next post later on Friday. I will be going back and looking at all of these planned changes in more detail on a route by route basis over the coming weeks once the dust has settled and all the information is in from the companies themselves.

  1. My understanding is that the 48 service to Wembury is from a Monday to Saturday financially supported by Devon County Council. On Sundays and bank holidays it is financially supported by Plymouth City Council from (I think it is called a section 106 agreement) money from a new housing scheme.
I wonder if there is any funding changes occurring? Also there are problems for holders of the (excellent value at £32) FirstMonth Plymstock ticket. This is only valid for use on First services 2, 6 and 7. Unless this is amended the 48 and 93 cannot be used with this monthly ticket. If there is no change to the terms and conditions this will considerably reduce the journeys available for use on this ticket. I do hope it is not withdrawn altogether though.

  2. Spotted a Blue Flash Enviro outside Milehouse today. Looks very neat. I couldn't see any red from the angle I was looking from.

  3. Western Greyhound seem to be cancelling half of their routes but the 594 for example is cancelled but also recreated and extended to Trutro so maybe they are just changing routes and numbers and nothing more. Fingers crossed.
