Cornish Event

You may be interested in this event down in Cornwall this coming weekend:

Just a reminder that this Saturday, 20th April, some Private Hire trips have been organised in Rosslyn Motors double deckers around the scenic Cornish countryside to places you can never normally get to on a public double decker. This compliments the Penzance bus running day on the following day, so that people can make a weekend of it, and hopefully will also be of interest to local enthusiasts too.
There will be 5 trips during the day.
The first trip will utilise a 'modern' double decker, departing from Rosslyn Motors garage in St Blazey (St Blazey Road at junction of Middleway) at about 0715, and from Par Station shortly afterwards (connecting off the sleeper from London - which I will be on). The route is then intended to be to Boscastle on the scenic north coast, and continuing through Port Isaac and Polzeath to Padstow, and than back to St Blazey for about 1130. Short breaks will be had en route, and the cost for this 4 hour trip will be just £10.
After lunch there will be 4 shorter local trips utilising older Olympians, costing £15 in total.
The first of these will depart from Rosslyn Motors garage at about 1215, and also connect at Par Station off the 0730 HST from Paddington. Its intended to go to Luxuyan, Mevagissy (Trebah), Carlyon Bay and lastly to Lostwithiel where anyone wanting to return towards London can connect with the 1706 train.
Vehicles requested for these shorter trips (buses will be swapped after each trip) are VIB 3903 (was M687 HPF), EKZ 3999 (was N395 LPN), SIL 4465 (was N399 LPN) and open topper E2 RCL (was E306 MSG).
Anyone is welcome to just turn up at the times mentioned, and pay Nik on the bus. However if you require more information please contact Nik onNik.Anthony@lonutd.co.uk
Obviously the above intentions may be affected by any problems on the day, but whatever it promises to be a grand day out.
Hope to see some of you on Saturday.
Brian Bell
