Just a quickie
Noted Dennis Trident 33172 on the 15 service sitting at Derriford Hospital looking a bit poorly. Nothing special in that however it was in the new First Bus liveryand it does carry new large DEVON fleetnames on the side.
So I guess we now know the new local identity for First.
Yes, i've just seen the same bus on the 2 this evening. The DEVON fleetname is certainly an eye catcher.
ReplyDeleteYeah saw a double decker in new livery today with Devon in big letters along the side (think it was the 15) Hopefully that meas First are planning to stick around in Plymouth and not sell up! Would have preferred Western National though!
ReplyDeleteI think it means no one wants to buy the company because it's not worth anything.
DeleteUghhh Devon! Saltash, Callington, Launceston, Bude, Torpoint, Whitsand Bay, Cawsand, Millbrook, Cremyll, Antony, Crafthole etc. I rest my case.
ReplyDeleteYes but none of those places are 'proper' Cornwall as they don't even have Cornish postcodes all are PL except for Bude which is EX! ;O)
DeleteSaw that at Crownhill - unfortunately it was on the other side of the road (heading towards Manadon Roundabout not Derriford Rbout way where I was stood) so I wasn't able to grab a photo! At last it's here though.
ReplyDeleteI suppose it had to be DEVON really, as they go outside of Plymouth quite a bit!! How come DEVON is quite big letters like in other parts of the country but Cornwall just get a little flag???
ReplyDeleteThought they had Kernow on the Cornish fleet? Mind with the way First move buses around "Here there and everywhere" might be appropriate.
ReplyDeleteHere in bristol and bath we have first west of england fleet names. used on first bristol buses and first somerset and avon.
