- We are looking at the publicity for Plymouth Citybus service 45 which started last Sunday; and comparing it with First's service 88 which will join the fray next Monday, October 8th. First Bus will be offering no Sunday journeys. Public Transport Experience
- As rail franchising seems exposed as flawed, one has to ask the question about the future for the bus industry's version: quality contracts. It appears that allowing civil servants to decide what's best for public transport may simply not work. Does history tell us so? Omnibuses
I feel really sorry for that poor person sitting on 408 just ahead of the centre doors.
ReplyDeleteWe have decided to block your view, but we'll still charge you the same fare.
You don't pay for a view or a seat, you pay to get from A to B. So as long as the bus turns up that's all that matters.
Deleteand of course the Citybus livery is far more important than the comfort of the passenger!
DeleteThat the bus turns up is of course of primary importance, but is most certainly not all that matters if the bus is going to stand a fighting chance against the car.
DeleteWho gives a crap about a thin white strip across the window? Get real, just fimd another seat.
ReplyDelete“Get real, just fimd another seat” … or how about just don’t block the windows with unnecessary and inappropriate white lines. Would this be allowed on the driver’s windscreen, I don’t think so. Why then make the passengers (customers) have to suffer with it?
ReplyDeleteAs you say “Get real, just find another seat” or get a life!
DeleteI have too agree with all those who think, it is just a line.
ReplyDeleteWho would have thought that a sticker on a window would cause so many strong feelings!
But, "Would this be allowed on the driver's windscreen?"....You're right, no, it wouldn't. But lets remember, he is driving the bus. The person sat in the seat infront of the second set of doors, isn't.
Its almost like "if he said jump off a cliff, would you?" Well, no, because there are both in a completely different context!
Anyway, won't hear me going on about it!
Oh dear, moaning for moaning's sake I fear. Its a stripe, get over it. I wonder why us bus fans get a bad rap and then something like this comes along....
ReplyDeleteWell done citybus brilliant livery looks really good on the citaro, seeing the stripe is on the windows on the side facing seats which you have your back to whats the problem! nothing just some sad people who like moaning if anything just look at the new first bus livery how terrible that looks
