Atlantean Advert |
I originally meant for this one to be posted yesterday as a Sunday Best, but better late than never... I have to say that this Park Royal design is by far the best to feature on a Plymouth Atlantean. I remember liking the East Lancs bodies that followed as being modern looking, but looking back now its the much blander East Lancs design that seems to have dated the most. 133 is of course still around and looking fantastic. ©Alredbus (More on Flickr..) Plymouth used to go in for all over advertising in big way. Here the local college of education is represented on 133 (STK133T), which quietly awaits its next duty. It is hard to believe that 20 years have elapsed since this was taken, and although a little 'grazing' is evident on the upper nearside corner, I think that this old girl doesn't look too bad at all |

Interesting contrast with 55 and 56 in not-quite-allover advertising for the same college in the last post!
