Round the back of Milehouse bus depot you can see evidence of the transport system from way back before modern buses arrived on the scene.
The original tram depot building remains in place. You can just see the tram tracks under the recovery lorry. The tramway to Devonport came out of this entrance and made its way up through Stoke Village.
Looking back through the main shed the tram tracks are still in place. The other relic of the past is one that I never knew still existed and that was the old stable block for the horse drawn trams. It was difficult to get a clear view of the disused building as there are a few minibuses parked in front of it.
