From the Citybus Web Site
From Tuesday 25th March 2008 Plymouth Citybus intends to implement a number of measures to improve the way lost property is returned to our customers.
The first is the allocation of a dedicated Lost Property Helpline 01752 226084** Open 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Saturday. The second is that customers will no longer be required to go to our main depot at Milehouse to retrieve lost property but instead
lost property will be returned to our customers at our City Centre outlet which is on Exeter Street above the bus station.
The third is that it customers will be able to have property returned on Saturdays.
**The lost property phone line 226084 is only available for lost
property enquiries Monday to Saturday 08:30 to 17:30. For timetable enquires please call 222221 and for general enquiries please try 662271
Its always good to see operators trying to offer a better service, as even these seemingly small improvements can make a big difference to some passengers.
One minor point though - its a shame that this particular notice appears on the web site as a PDF file page. You click the link and then if you have a pop up blocker like many of us do, you dont get the page. You can fiddle this and turn the blocker off, and then wait a short while as the PDF loads. Will everyone bother with this? A normal web page would have loaded this information instantly. Just a minor niggle I have, but like the small improvement offered by this new helpline - it all helps!
