I have not mentioned it here, but First Group have recently purchased (or at least agreed to purchase) Chester City Transport from the local council. This will bring First into a full conflict with Arriva who have recently launced new routes with new buses.
The rumour 'up North' is that 16 buses from Plymouth are due to make the trip to help in fleet replacement in Chester.
I should stress that this is an unconfirmed rumour, and that I would be suprised if there are 16 buses available to send away at the moment. The situation in Chester is an interesting one so well worth watching!

Its funny how rumours like this come about - this of course never happened, although ironically several Chester buses ended up coming to Plymouth in First livery - working for target Travel!
