I picked up the latest Plymouth timetable leaflets this week (well North Plymouth anyway) and see that at last First have dropped the 'Blue Line' etc branding for its city routes. We havent had any coloured lines buses for some time now. The system was a good one, if they could keep the buses on the correct routes. More often than not they just couldnt.
We do still have a few branded routes though. Tamar Link buses very rarely, if ever, appear on other services. It does help that they are Torpoint based so seperate from the rest of the Plymouth allocation.
More recently we have a few buses in this lovely green livery for the Mayflower Express. These buses do seem to appear on other duties with buses on the X80 and the Tavistock services fairly common. I dont thin I have seen one on a city service yet though. When these buses are on other duties then it means other buses are on the 93. In fact when I have been at Bretonside to try and take photos of these, more often than not its a plain barbie liveried Trident that has turned up!
Still, it does brighten up the transport scene at Derriford when I am waiting for a citybus Dart to take me home
