According to This is Plymouth tonight:
First Great Western National is giving away a chance for the public to taste a bit of non-virtual reality in a state-of-the-art simulator. The simulator is a life-size, virtual reality cab used to train new and existing drivers, providing them with experience handling poor weather conditions, infrastructure problems, vandalism and mechanical failures.
Ignoring the wonderful error in the name of the company this does look like a fun idea.
To be in with the chance of driving the simulator, First Great Western is asking people in 100 words or less why they want to be a train driver.Send completed entries to: First Great Western Simulator Competition, c/o Equinox PR, 9 Earslwood Road, Ty Glas Business Park, Llanishen, Cardiff, CF14 5GH. Alternatively, email kirsten@equinox-pr.co.uk .
