There is a small fleet of brand new buses out there on the streets of Plymouth. First Devon and Cornwall has placed a small batch of brand new Dennis Darts on the Coypool Park and Ride service.
The trouble is most people probably wont notice them as they look exactly the same as most other First buses.
It is good that FDC are continuing with decent fleet investment and I have mentioned just recently how much better the appearance of the FDC fleet has become over the past few months. However, on such an important route it is a shame that the new buses dont carry any promotional lettering or even better a highly visible livery to make the service stand out. When the new Enviro double deckers hit the road on the main PR1 George - Milehouse - City Centre then the Coypool service will seem the inferior cousin.
Having observed many standing loads on the Coypool run recently it does seem there is a good case for putting double deckers on this service too?
